Get more insight into your assets with Guardian Vision
Like many of our customers, the chances are you’re not always on the sites where you need our support. Thanks to Guardian Vision – a unique cloud-based photo and video communication platform – you can have transparency on what our engineers are doing for you, including seeing what work’s required or has been completed.
Get Guardian Vision as standard
We believe that, at launch, we were the only UK FM maintenance company using the technology, demonstrating how we’re at the forefront of its use for FM services. It’s all part of the service for Guardian customers with no additional charge – we’re simply providing you with extra value.
It’s ideal for planned maintenance/servicing, repairs to existing systems and new installations
- See photos of what needs doing and have the confidence you’re not paying for work unnecessarily.
- Enjoy the confidence that, when you’re managing sites remotely, it will help you achieve even more effectiveness.
- Get visibility of the condition of your equipment – having photos of internal components, which you probably haven’t had before, means you can see for yourself how they’re wearing.
- Reduce unnecessary call-outs/costs on staffed sites – we can communicate with staff using phone/camera technology to see an issue and assess a situation, and therefore minimise unnecessary call outs.
- Be part of a greener solution – with our engineers working more remotely, we’re reducing carbon emissions from vehicles.
How it works
Our engineers capture photos and videos before and after jobs. This allows you to see and better understand recommended and completed work. Guardian Vision uses smart technology like OCR (optical character recognition) to gather information including the model and serial number of the equipment being worked on, which builds you an accurate picture of assets across your sites.
Where the planned maintenance works include an internal inspection (such as a boiler service), we take photos of the internal condition both before and after the maintenance has taken place, which improves asset condition reports.
For reactive call outs, our engineers take photos and videos to show the issue when they first see it and the repair they complete, or to provide you with a recommendation report video. We send this to you with the quotation so you can fully understand the works required.
Enabling us to serve you better
Guardian Vision can also be used for remote control of our own engineer’s phone or device to enable tech support from other colleagues where required to ensure first time fix. This is perfect for jobs in dark or cramped crawl spaces, basements or attics. They can easily swap between back and front-facing cameras, control the flashlight, zoom in and out.
Another exciting feature of Guardian Vision is the opportunity for us to hold live video calls between engineers to increase first-time fix rates by sharing knowledge. With the live video pausing and mark-up, we can easily pause a live call to talk through and troubleshoot on-site issues quickly. Your on-site teams can also use this feature to communicate with our engineers about minor issues, without the need for them to visit the site. This can help you to save on call-out charges.
