Everyone knows that it’s tough out there at the moment. Finding a job, especially one with real prospects and career progression, is seemingly becoming more and more difficult. The positions that are out there demand experience, or qualifications that many young people just don’t have. And to get that experience or those qualifications you often need a job with career progression and prospects to do that, don’t you? It’s the age old vicious circle – you need experience to get a job, and you need a job to get experience.
There is a way to find that experience, and those qualifications, that doesn’t mean working for nothing, or slogging through extra education that simply doesn’t suit you. In fact, you can find that elusive job and gain all the experience and qualifications you need to get started in your chosen profession. How? By applying for an apprenticeship.

There is often a concern that any apprenticeships on offer are all about numbers and statistics. That they are just a way to reduce the jobless figures, or to ensure that those leaving school are in training for just that little bit longer.
